Players…YOU DONE GOOD!!!  I know our season got off to a slow start, but that was great practice for the games that meant something… tournaments, play offs, play downs, and provincials. It was really great to see new friendships develop, and you guys were certainly spoiled with a lot of fun stuff over the last 6 ½ months. That’s what it’s all about…FUN…on and off the ice!!  Congratulations on the many achievements… 3 silvers and 1 gold. Not bad for a season of hockey!!  PLEASE THANK YOUR PARENTS AND/OR GRANDPARENTS AND/OR OTHER PLAYER’S PARENTS, FOR GETTING YOU TO AND FROM HOCKEY EVENTS ALL SEASON LONG!!  Have a great summer!! 

Coaches…Thanks for all your help this season. We had a total of 97 ice times with 66 of them being games.  I appreciate your time commitment, your expertise, and for assisting me behind the bench this year. It was a pleasure to have you on my coaching staff. 

Fans…We had great fans this year!!  From parents, to siblings, to grandparents, friends, and girlfriends…thanks for all your loud cheers and awesome support for our team this season!  

Parents…Thanks for your support, both on and off the ice. It was a tough year for our family and your kindness and sincerity was very much appreciated, and will always be remembered.  It was also a very busy year for our hockey team.  From dry land training, to practices, games, 5 tournaments, plus our social activities, and fundraising…you have all put in A LOT of your time and travelled many kilometres!!  We also had a GREAT parent group come together this season to look after some big jobs for the team starting with our fundraising duo, to our team treasurers, social committee, main stats guy & his back-up crew, parent rep, website, team name plates, ranger clothing, phone tree guy and gal, The Record results call in man, and our team photographers.  Every family on this team contributed to a successful hockey season!  THANKS!! 

A “special thanks” to our social committee for planning our year end party.  Although Mother Nature was not very cooperative, the boys had an awesome time paintballing. A few drops of rain wouldn’t stop this team!! The Huether was an excellent choice for the team get together later in the day. From the pool games and pool tournaments, to the great food, drinks, and mingling amongst each other...everyone had a great time!

We would like to thank our players, parents, friends, and other hockey teams for their kind words of support during this very difficult time. It has only been 3 months since we lost Len's brother, Allen, and now we are grieving a mother, grandmother, and mother-in-law. We are truly grateful for the amazing people in our lives who have stood by us during these past 3 months, and we sincerely appreciate the support you have shown our family.

The first comment I would like to make is to the players, for an outstanding performance this weekend. With a short bench you guys dominated Stratford in game #1, you out shot and out played Oakridge in game #2, down 1 more player on an already short bench you battled hard against Waterloo in game #3, then blew away Oakridge in the semis to move on to the final game of the weekend. That was our goal all along, and you achieved that goal. I think that alone says it all about our team. I know we didn’t win the gold, but look back at the positives that came out of our season, and WE MADE IT TO THE PROVINCIALS. There were only 6 Kitchener teams of 19 teams that made it this year, and we were one of them. We’ve had a great year, and a busy year!! Take a look back on the website and on the calendar…the many social activities, you’ve all made new friends, we played a total of 66 games (with practices we were on the ice 97 times), we won 3 silver medals and 1 gold medal. Not bad for 6 ½ months of hockey!! You boys should be very proud of how far you’ve come this season. This coaching staff is proud, and your parents, families, and friends are too!!  Also, I would like to thank Justin Cotton for coming out this weekend to support our team as our back-up goaltender.

Secondly, I'd like to congratulate the Waterloo Ice Wolves. It was another good battle and a tight game right to the final buzzer.  

Well boys, we have one final activity planned for our team on April 25^th. I hope everyone is able to attend and celebrate our achievements throughout the season.

First of all, I would like to congratulate the Waterloo Ice Wolves for their championship win. The coaching staff, parents, and players were by far one of the classiest teams we’ve played this season.

Second of all, I congratulate you boys for your hard work in the playoff round to get us to the finals and secure us a spot in the provincials. We are 1 of 4 teams of the original 13 at the Bantam MD level, who fought through playoffs and playdowns to extend our season. We’ve played 61 games in total, some good, some not so good, but each game taught us a lesson and you prevailed and are all responsible for keeping our season alive. GREAT JOB, BLUE!!  I had asked this team to step it up in each game throughout our playoffs and playdowns, AND YOU DID... BUT OUR BIGGEST CHALLENGE LIES AHEAD IN TWO WEEKS. I must say, as a Head Coach, that I am very happy to be heading to the provincials for my second season in a row!!
